Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is an actor, model and director from England. Wright is most well-known for her part in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The actress remained as the character for ten years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). Wright has appeared in numerous independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films received mixed praise. She made her stage debut as the lead in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in filmmaking. The following year, she founded her own production company, BonBonLumiere, and began to produce short films. Her first film as a director was the coming-of age drama Separate We Come, Separate We Go (2012), starring David Thewlis, which was released at the Cannes Film Festival to critical applause. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both featured landscape and emotion. Wright's trilogy, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. She released Medusa's Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs in a film which is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She directed music videos for artists Sophie Lowe, Pete Yorn, and Scarlett Johansson. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace, Lumos and has been honored for her environmental activism.
