Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born on the 25th of November, 1968 is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She has also been an actor in films such as RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted and independent films like Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and a sales/marketing executive. The job involved a lot of travel and caused frequent family changes. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mom and secretary, died in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) was involved in the raising of her daughter. She has a younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline She is a magazine writer and TV show host in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side as well as most Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School and then was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were the first actors to be cast as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. She was not selected for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who was eventually offered the role.She made an appearance on Broadway in the musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred in the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons, before she quit the show in 1996.
