Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter (born July 23 1970) is an American actress. She played Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also starred in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was featured in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine who was a bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High school in Las Vegas. She was involved in a dance and dance troupe that performed in the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor as well as a videostore clerk and property manager. She also was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. Her move to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. assaulted her and two male acquaintances while swimming in San Diego. He was a former San Diego cop and serial rapist , who tried to intimidate the group with a gunpoint. The two of her friends as well as Hubbard were shot in the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene and her two friends were saved. Hubbard was arrested and was convicted and sentenced to 56 years of prison time for a series of rapes. Carpenter took Hubbard his police-issue flashlight to the beach. He had left it at the scene. This flashlight would become an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
