Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. She is well-known for her role in the role of Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / The Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in amateur and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies towards an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a part of the world premiere of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins The production of Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and also in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. The actress won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived the stage show Jac N Swallow, which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about their hilarious misadventures as they deal with very various life situations.
