Magda Apanowicz is an Canadian actor from Canada. Her most famous work is her roles on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a time during the ninth grade. She lived there with her uncle , and she attended a school in Jelenia Gora. She later attended Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002, she made her first appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She also made a brief appearance in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 to 2009, she played the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she was a guest star as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to as Lacy Rand in Caprica's television drama featuring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Hellcats was her following film. In 2012, she appeared as an actress in Jane Espenson's second season of the romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the series Continuum.
