Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek,
California and started her career on films and TV shows like Card Sharks (1978)
and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and later on make projects like
Double Dare (1976) and was a guest on TV shows as 1st to Die (2003), E! True
Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) and Dyna Girl (2001). One of her
most memorable TV part was "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court
(1984). She was in more than 156 episodes of the comedy, from 1984 to 1992.
Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was a poet and noted nuclear
scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7, 2015). Two
daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 in
1990) was her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. Her birthplace was Palo Alto,
California and grew up near Walnut Creek, California. The school she attended
was Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was an athlete.
Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts
degree. She was a trick roper on The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The
ashes of her were returned to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong
Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was three months away
from what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. She was 27 days from
Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was her co-star , who died on July
11, 2020. While the two shows were not related, Night Court (1984) was the
final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington
DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new
character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later moved into a smaller town after
her time in Washington DC.
