Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a writer, director actress, musician, and actor who has helmed many episodes of TV, including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is currently in the process of completing two pilots. Milena was chosen as one of the eight directors for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as a short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival as and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) is screened across the country and has won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She was also featured in the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006), which led to her role as the first and the only female detective on the Emmy-winning television series Law & Order (1990). She has been featured in a number of other television shows including K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and on the show Finding Carter as Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety of movies which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) with the lead alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she completed the double major in vocal performance and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. She utilized her ballet classical education shortly thereafter to make her Broadway debut in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
