Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the US. She was previously a television correspondent for ABC News. Her
time as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host of
The View (2015-2018) are famous. She was also co-anchor on America This Morning
as well as World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of limited TV opportunities she worked
in sales for radio. After one year working as a production assistant with
WKEF/WRGT she was able to report and anchor occasionally. She was one of the
weekend and weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, between 2002 and
2005. Following the expiration of her contract in 2005, she was a anchor and
sports reporter for the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago between November 2005
and December 2011. In December 2011, it was announced that she was employed by
the news division of ABC, ABC News. On January 2, 2012 she debuted on ABC's
World News Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well as
substitute for Good Morning America during this period. Later she was made a
New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs. She was not able to get
to the last show of World News Now or America This Morning. The show aired on
January 22nd, 2013. She debuted on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor on
the 9th of August, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News.
ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a cohost for season 19. The
contract was renewed by ABC for its 20th season on August 3. Season 21 also saw
her renewed as cohost. She was most often seen on Friday episodes of the 21st
and 22nd seasons.
