Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff is a French actress was born on 3 May 1986. She attended the Cours Florent drama school, Paris. She has been in movies such as Loup 2009, Sleepless Night 2011 and Hacker's Game 2015. She is the Mantis character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Pom Klementieff was the child of an Korean mother and a father who was French-Russian. Her father was a consul in Quebec City, Canada. Her grandfather was painter Eugene Klementieff. Since it sounds like the Korean words for "spring" or "tiger" Her parents gave their daughter the name Pom. Klementieff was a Canadian citizen for a year. Her family traveled extensively due to her father's job. Before making the move to France, they resided in Japan and also on the Ivory Coast. Her father was diagnosed with cancer when she was five and her mother was suffering from schizophrenia and was unable to care for children and so Klementieff was cared for by her paternal uncle and aunt. Her uncle, whom she called "like her father" died at the age of 18 years old. Her older brother who took his own life seven years later, was also her aunt. After the passing of her uncle, Klementieff attended law school briefly to satisfy her aunt. But she didn't consider the profession appealing. She also worked as a waitress and saleswoman in France. In the Cours Florent drama academy in Paris she started acting at the age of 19. After her studies were completed, she was awarded an acting competition that gave her two years of tuition with some of the best teachers at the school. Klementieff's first professional acting job was the French independent film Apres lui (2007), portraying the stepdaughter of the main character which was played by Catherine Deneuve. The production of the film took three days. During one scene, Klementieff was to be pushed down the stairs but accidentally fell down the steps herself, as did director Gael Morel recorded that scene for the final film. Loup (2009) is the French film about Siberian reindeer herders was her first major part. She filmed for hours in a camp that was far from the nearest village. The temperature plummeted to below zero while filming.
