Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. Sarah is the middle child having one older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut was in City Boy (1992), a movie made for TV. After her debut film her audition, she was cast in 1993 for the role "Becky" of Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for an alternative to the character after Alicia Goranson quit the show to go to college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 and was involved in the making of Roseanne (1988), 1994-1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, she appeared in two movies that included Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) where she was a cheerleader "Krista Wilson". Sarah was invited to appear in a TV series called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) the same year after Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) on which the show also had a basis. She took over the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She said she wanted to retire from acting and pursue a degree in. 2001 (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's elder sibling in the show Roseanne (1988) however, she's much younger real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and presented an award to the most successful single of the year. September 1999: Appeared around the age of 8 in Vancouver's theater productions. A native speaker of French and German. She volunteers at a hospice that cares for patients who are dying. Chalke loves cooking with friends (especially Thai or sushi) and plays guitar or ski, hike (she's an instructor) and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer and both her parents are mediators. They also operate a child adoption agency. Her parents took her to China to facilitate the adoptions of multiple orphans.
